For Christmas, Keylen received a 6-month subscription to Kiwi Crate (from Grandma) - meaning 6 months of fun projects to do, 6 months of Keylen getting something in the mail, and 6 months of something fun we can build together. I am a HUGE believer in continuing education for children via fun and innovative ways, and Kiwi Crate is exactly that.
With a focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), each Kiwi Crate is a hands-on learning experience that inspires kids to see themselves as scientists, artists, creators, and innovators. Case in point, this last crate was a Magic Kit and Keylen and I spent the better part of 3 hours creating and putting on a magic show (one he excitedly showed his Dad later that night, and his babysitter). I'm trying to imagine myself playing with an action figure for even a fraction of that same amount of time.
To take it a step further, Kiwi Crates are made with high quality materials, they include EVERYTHING you need to create the project, they feature easy-to-follow instructions, and also have additional ideas for related projects you can do at home. I had high expectations for this subscription service and it absolutely met them. When our 6-months is up, we will likely be resubscribing.
Here's just a little of the fun from Keylen's Magic Kiwi Crate:
